Yes — there certainly are (and have been) cultural groups of humans whose framing of themselves and the world seems to be much less grounded in the paradigm of distinction. I am mindful that this effort is directed to a subset of current human cultures, and a critically important subset to reach as it is the one having its way with the planet and its natural ecosystems.

That said, I'd like to be clearer about the boundaries of this generalization.
